Security Officer

We're seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team at Evri's Barnsley Hub. As a key member of our security team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees and assets.
About the Role
As a Security Officer, you'll be responsible for deterring, detecting, and investigating loss within designated Hub locations. You'll work closely with our Loss Prevention Team to support the reduction of losses, including client freight, through internal theft.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage site access controls, including visitors and contractors, to ensure a secure environment.
- Support processes to safeguard parcel performance, including high-value goods.
- Patrol and report on potential risks to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Conduct security checks on outbound gatehouse to prevent loss and damage.
- Accurately record all activity on the correct documents, in line with company procedures.
- Comply with and report on all Health and Safety issues in accordance with company guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Hub Loss Prevention team to reduce damage and mismanagement of parcels.
- Instill a culture of handling parcels with care to minimize losses.
