About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a background in Histology to fill this key position. As a Histology Application Development Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting customers throughout their entire journey, growing core reagent and product sales through market intelligence, and collaborating with our local Leica Biosystems team to provide optimal customer support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instrument and software training to customers
  • Troubleshooting and assisting customers with application issues
  • Instrument validation support
Commercial Tasks - Pre Sales
  • Generate and develop sales and product awareness of Leica Biosystems' product portfolio directly through customer visits, product information, samples, and customer trials
  • Instrument demos
  • Assist with technical tender responses
  • Supporting Account Manager in customer meetings
  • Work closely with our local Leica Biosystems team on business strategy to achieve increased sales on territory
  • Support at trade shows
What You'll Need to Do the Job
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Science or equivalent field
  • Previous experience as a Biomedical Scientist from a Histology background with specific experience in specimen dissection, tissue processing/embedding, microtomy/cutting, routine HE staining using automated platforms, special stains, IHC ISH staining using automated platforms
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, able to quickly identify customer needs and adapt support based on those to gain customer trust and win
  • Commercial awareness: mindset of winning competitive customers for Leica and being brand ambassador, identification of potential customer needs for lead qualification
  • Strong communication skills, able to make presentations in front of different audiences and stakeholders, holding a training class, being exposed to C-level suite when needed
Benefits and Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include a hybrid work environment, opportunities for professional growth and development, and a comprehensive compensation package.
