The role will involve assisting in the preparation of financial statements, management and statutory accounts, and tax returns for a diverse client portfolio. You'll work closely with senior team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
You might be studying towards your ACA or ACCA qualification, or perhaps you're ready to start.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with bookkeeping duties.
- Preparation of statutory and management accounts.
- Tax computations.
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Liaising with HMRC.
- Handling correspondence and escalating queries to the relevant department.
- Confidently liaising with clients, handling general queries with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Supporting the junior team; reviewing work and offering mentoring when required.
- Working closely with senior team members, handling duties as required.
Requirements
We're looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication skills. You'll have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
