Job Description
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Top 50 Chartered Accountancy in London for a Trust Manager/Senior Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of UK resident and charitable trusts, ensuring key deadlines for annual accounts and tax compliance are met. This will involve reviewing work prepared by team members, providing input into their training and mentoring, and assisting with advisory work and ad-hoc matters.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Manage a portfolio of UK resident and charitable trusts, ensuring key deadlines for annual accounts and tax compliance are met.
  2. Review work prepared by team members, providing input into their training and mentoring.
  3. Assist with advisory work and ad-hoc matters, including high-level taxation and general advice regarding Inheritance Tax.
  4. Liaise with tax, accounts, and financial planning teams to ensure a joined-up approach.
  5. Monitor budgets, own chargeability, and raise fee notes.

Candidate Criteria
  1. CTA and/or STEP Qualified
  2. Experience in a similar role, managing a Trusts portfolio in practice
  3. Experience of charitable trusts, probate work, and estate accounts advantageous but not essential
  4. Working knowledge of CCH Trust Accounts and CCH Personal Tax would be advantageous
  5. Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team.
