Autism Support Worker Opportunity

Protocol Education is seeking a compassionate and reliable Autism Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Sunderland. This full-time role ensures ongoing support for students with complex needs on the autism spectrum, providing stability and care throughout the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group support to students with autism, promoting their engagement and motivation.
  • Assist students with their classwork and daily activities, ensuring they stay on track and motivated.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to guide students effectively.
  • Facilitate daily routines and schedules to support students' independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement personalized Education Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with autism or special educational needs is beneficial.
  • A positive, patient, and encouraging attitude is essential.
  • Proficiency in behavior management is highly valued.
