Exciting Opportunity in Early Years Education

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Early Years team in East Renfrewshire Council. As an Early Years Development Officer, you will play a key role in supporting high-quality Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) provision across the region.

Your responsibilities will include leading aspects of ELC and school-age childcare, ensuring that children and families benefit from flexible, accessible, and affordable services. You will work closely with our team to inspire and motivate staff, and contribute to the development of our ELC provision.

We are looking for someone with a degree-level qualification relevant to the field and extensive experience in a leadership role in ELC. Ideally, you will also have additional qualifications that demonstrate a depth of understanding about the key principles of early years education.

As a Hybrid role, you will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time, depending on the needs of the service. This role is considered Regulated Work with Children, and you will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check.
