We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team at HSB Technical Ltd, a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy and Aerospace sectors.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of generators, UPS, control systems, and associated equipment. This will involve conducting load bank tests, site surveys, and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failure.
Main Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
- Investigate faults and conduct repairs on generators, UPS, control systems, and other related equipment.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of critical power equipment, including generator sets and UPS.
- Install temporary equipment on customer sites as needed.
- Oversee on-site work to guarantee adherence to safety protocols and risk assessments.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience working with generators and other critical power equipment or in similar roles.
- Hold an engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent) - Desirable.
- Possess a full UK driving license.
- Able to travel around the Hampshire area as necessary.
