Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Analyst to join our developing Security Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring security events and alerts generated by our SIEM solution, performing initial analyses to assess their severity, and collaborating with Tier 2 and Tier 3 engineers to triage confirmed security incidents.

You will also play a key role in developing and refining SOC processes and response procedures, monitoring threat intelligence, analyzing potential vulnerabilities, and assisting project teams with security reviews. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and help enhance our overall cybersecurity posture.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor Security Operations Centre (SOC) generated security events and alerts.
  2. Perform initial analysis to determine severity of security events.
  3. Triage confirmed security events and alerts, in coordination with Tier 2 and Tier 3 network and infrastructure engineers, following documented procedures.
  4. Monitor and research threat and vulnerability news streams for relevant cybersecurity intel that may have an impact on the enterprise.
  5. Assist project teams with security reviews and provide feedback where necessary.
Requirements
  1. Relevant experience working in a Security Operations Centre.
  2. Relevant experience working with Crowdstrike, Microsoft Defender or Sentinel One.
  3. Relevant experience monitoring and operating a SIEM/SOAR Platform.
  4. Previous experience with SIEM Splunk / LogScale / Humio querying language is highly desirable.
  5. Previous experience with Tenable Security products or similar Vulnerability scanning solutions for identifying network and operating system risks and misconfigurations is highly desirable.
  6. Expert understanding of all Windows operating systems (server and desktop) required.
  7. A good understanding of information security principles as it relates to system, network, internet security (i.e. ports, protocols, system hardening and system functions analysis).
  8. A good understanding of security and network incident response protocols.
  9. A good understanding EDR / SIEM / SOAR.
  10. A good Understanding of cloud environments (such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their security controls.
  11. A good understanding of malware, including APT and other emerging threats.
  12. A good understanding of firewalls and IDS/IPS systems.
  13. A good understanding of Active Directory and Entra-ID.
  14. Moderate Understanding of High level log analytics (firewall logs, network logs, authentication logs, system logs, debug logs).
  15. Highly Desired proficiency in automation and scripting languages (such as Python and PowerShell) to streamline repetitive tasks and effectively analyze security data.
  16. Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GCIH, OSCP.
