Salary

We offer a competitive salary, estimated at £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will be eligible for annual pay reviews, national pay awards, and benefits outlined below.

About the Role

As a Child Protection Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable families through our Family Safeguarding Teams. You will work collaboratively with specialist workers, utilizing the Family Safeguarding Model to deliver group-based interventions. Your strengths-based approach will empower families to identify and achieve changes in their daily lives, while your motivational interviewing techniques will facilitate positive behavior change.

You will have opportunities to engage directly with children, understanding their needs and priorities. Our holistic approach considers the individual's social circles, development needs, and overall well-being. Regular reflective supervision will strengthen information sharing and decision-making within our multi-disciplinary forum.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England are essential.
  • Good organizational and planning skills are crucial in managing complex caseloads.
  • You should possess excellent stakeholder management skills, building effective relationships with colleagues, individuals, and external organizations.
  • Effective conflict management and disagreement resolution skills are necessary for success in this role.

Other Information

Please note that all roles are subject to an annual banding pay review until the top of the pay grade is reached, following successful probation. Roles will also be eligible for the annual national pay award.
