Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Associate Lecturer at Bridgwater & Taunton College. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to learners with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), barriers to learning, and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH).

The ideal candidate will have experience working with learners with SEND/SEMH and possess a specialist area of expertise that will benefit our department. They will promote inclusive practice, develop individualized teaching, learning, and assessment approaches, and strive to maximize learners' potential to achieve their Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) and/or personalized outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective teaching, learning, and assessment to learners with SEND/SEMH
  • Develop and implement individualized teaching, learning, and assessment approaches
  • Promote inclusive practice and support learners to achieve their EHCP and/or personalized outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement departmental strategies

  • Experience working with learners with SEND/SEMH
  • Specialist area of expertise that will benefit our department
  • Ability to promote inclusive practice and develop individualized teaching, learning, and assessment approaches
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
