Job Title: Associate Lecturer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Associate Lecturer to join our team at Bridgwater & Taunton College. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to learners with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), barriers to learning, and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective teaching, learning, and assessment strategies to maximize learners' potential and support their progress towards their Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) and/or personalized outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized teaching, learning, and assessment approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Promote inclusive practice and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of learners with SEND/SEMH.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans that meet the needs of learners.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience working with learners with SEND/SEMH and a specialist area of expertise that will benefit the department. They will be a strong team player who is motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for our learners.
