About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join our team in the Bradford area. As a key member of our housing management team, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality housing management service and making a real difference to our customers and the communities they live in.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the provision of high-quality governance, legal, risk, and assurance services to the business, enabling it to meet statutory and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Deliver a high-quality housing management service that supports customers to live well and enjoy their home and neighbourhood responsibly, offering support and ensuring Incommunities' duties as a landlord are fulfilled.
  • Coordinate a full range of housing services to ensure neighbourhoods are clean, safe, and pleasant places where people want to live, increasing sustainment and reducing turnover of tenancies, and contributing to maximising occupancy rates and income collection.
  • Develop and sustain constructive relationships with individuals and representatives working to improve the quality of life in their communities, working with others to develop and empower community groups, and assisting with bids for external funding.
About You
  • You will have experience of dealing with members of the public, particularly those who may be distressed or anxious, and have excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise your workload.
  • You will be committed to continuous professional development, with a focus on achieving CIH Level 3.
  • You will enjoy working as part of a team and have a flexible approach to work, with the ability to manage your own time.
Requirements
  • You will have experience of general needs housing management and a good understanding of housing and estate management standards and practices, including ASB, lettings, exchanges, repairs, and rents.
  • You will have a good understanding of housing legislation and the ability to give advice to those who require it.
  • You will have a flexible approach to work and be able to manage your own time.
  • You will be able to interpret and apply legislation and Incommunities' procedures.
  • You will have excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • A driving licence and own vehicle are highly desirable, as you will be expected to travel across Bradford.

  • You will receive a salary of £31,870 to £35,519 per year, depending on experience.
