Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused Financial Operations Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and administering the Supplier Purchase Ledger, processing and approving invoices, and ensuring accurate and timely posting of transactions within our accounting software.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and approve purchase ledger invoices against goods received information
- Coding purchase ledger invoices and posting transactions within accounting software
- Statement reconciliations and liaising with suppliers to resolve any issues
- Assist with returning rejected stock to suppliers and ensure credits are received
- Post bank activity within finance software on a daily basis
- Preparation of BACS payment run and ad hoc payments
- Liaise with other areas of the business in a professional and supportive manner
Requirements
- Competent to use Microsoft software packages, primarily Excel
- Purchase ledger experience
- Energetic, motivated, and able to use their own initiative
- Detail-focused and have pride in their work, ensuring accuracy and correctness
- Organized and able to prioritize their workload to meet deadlines
- Good communication skills
- Flexible with a positive attitude
- Proactive team player
- Exposure to an Accounts environment
