Job Overview


We are seeking a dynamic Stock and Systems Operations Manager to join our team at Wincanton. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven, creative individual who is looking for a new challenge.


Your Key Responsibilities



  • Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, you will play a key role in managing stock and systems across our operations.
  • You will be responsible for training, developing, and appraising members of the Stock & Systems Team.
  • Closing liaison with customers is essential to ensure smooth running of the operation by prioritizing workloads.
  • A high level of stock accuracy must be maintained between the Warehouse Management System and clients' systems.
  • You will resolve and liaise with clients on all aspects of stock-related issues with 3rd party customers.
  • Update and maintain Stock & Systems procedures, including returns processing, secondary stock recovery, stock checks, and adhoc stock management.
  • Production of management reports for both customer and site management teams, including analyzing and collating data to monitor site KPIs.
  • Governance of Key Control Measures.
  • Attending training courses when required.
  • Ensuring all handling of finished products complies with Legislative, Company, and Customer requirements.

Your Skills and Qualifications



  • Experience in an automated dynamic warehouse environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop good working relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm, and flexibility.
  • Strong PC skills using MS Office and WMS.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of macro writing and pivot tables.
  • Clear leadership qualities to drive necessary change and improvements.
  • Strong team building skills and ability to motivate the Stock team.
  • Flexibility and high level of self-motivation.
  • Proven experience of interpreting, analyzing, and reporting information.
  • Proactive approach and innovation towards ways of operating.
  • Ability to govern key control measures.
  • Actively playing a key role in ensuring the accuracy of all systems and stocks onsite.
