About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Brand Manager to lead our Construction Accessories (CA) business within SIG Plc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive business strategy for the brand, aligned with the Divisional Strategy, to drive sustained growth and long-term profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the CA team across warehouse, transport, and sales, ensuring the highest levels of customer service and providing leadership, coaching, and motivation to team members.
  • Establish and maintain clear objectives and standards, reviewing development and training needs annually, and monitoring performance against targets and objectives.
  • Set direction for sales activities within the Brand team, recognizing and accessing new markets or product areas, and maintaining long-term profitability by tracking, anticipating, and remaining ahead of competitors.
  • Manage relationships with key customers and suppliers, negotiating and partnering to add value and win major projects and contracts.
  • Engender a culture within the branch that generates profit while recognizing and promoting the importance of health and safety, environmentally responsible behavior, and the highest standards of business ethics and compliance.
Requirements
  • A proven track record of success in a similar role, with experience within the construction industry, ideally gained in the local area.
  • Understanding of Cost to Serve and the ability to identify service improvements.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence to work with senior management and relate to operators within the branch.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness of overall business performance and Brand performance.
  • A strong Customer Focus (both internal and external) and a commitment to quality, excellence, and continuous improvement, with the ability to prove results with KPIs.
  • Previous exposure to a broad range of business issues and operational issues, coupled with the ability to deal with a heavy volume of work and exercise judgment through evaluation and analysis.
  • The ability to spot further opportunities and make a linkage between activities and capabilities and the needs of the business.
