Job Summary

As a Senior Security Engineer on our AWS Security team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security of our cloud-based applications and services. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with software development teams to identify and mitigate potential security risks, and to develop innovative solutions to protect our customers' data. We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced security professional who can lead by influence and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

About the Role

As an AppSec engineer, you will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining threat models for a wide range of software projects, as well as performing manual and automated secure code reviews. You will also be tasked with developing security automation tools, conducting adversarial security analysis using cutting-edge tools, and providing security training and outreach to internal development teams. Additionally, you will provide security architecture and design guidance and independently solve complex security problems that require novel methods or approaches.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced security professional who has a deep understanding of threat modeling, manual source code review, security vulnerabilities, attacker exploit techniques, and methods for their remediation. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to adapt your messaging to executive, technical, and non-technical audiences. You should also be able to drive multiple technically complex security reviews together while remaining effective at providing security guidance to stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

It would be great if you have a strong application security background with a focus on scalable solutions, experience building and securing complex AWS architecture, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should also be able to work to identify and remove bottlenecks for your teammates, both in process and technology.
