Senior Technical Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our Markets Data Improvement Programme at Ofgem ECO Reporting Working Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving our approach to data and incentivising supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities- Stakeholder Analysis and Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, technical teams, and external partners.
- Strategic Analysis and Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of business problems and identify opportunities for improvement, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Business Process Modelling and Analysis: Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date models of business processes, identifying areas for improvement and developing solutions to address gaps and inefficiencies.
- Requirements Elicitation and Definition: Work with business stakeholders to elicit and define requirements for new business processes and systems, ensuring that solutions meet the needs of both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Delivery of User-Centric Business Solutions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement user-centric business solutions, using agile methodologies to ensure timely and effective delivery.
- Impact Analysis and Prioritisation: Conduct thorough impact analysis of proposed work and prioritise work stack based on this.
- Comprehensive Gap Analysis: Conduct comprehensive gap analysis based on assessment of existing business processes, identifying areas for improvement and developing solutions to address gaps and inefficiencies.
- Functional and Non-Functional Requirements: Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date models of functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring that solutions meet the needs of both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Acceptance Criteria and Options Appraisals: Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date models of acceptance criteria and options appraisals, ensuring that solutions meet the needs of both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Change Scope and Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date models of change scope and quality assurance, ensuring that solutions meet the needs of both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Significant Experience in Change Management: Proven experience in successfully managing, communicating, and embedding change in a digital, data, and technology environment.
- Extensive Experience in Requirements Analysis: Proven experience in requirements analysis and process definition in a digital, data, and technology environment.
- Experience in Business Process Modelling: Proven experience in visualising, modelling, and documenting business processes.
- Strong Stakeholder Management Skills: Proven ability to clarify needs and commitments through consultation and consideration of consequences while focusing on user and business needs.
