About the Role

Ofgem ECO Reporting Working Group is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our Markets Data Improvement Programme. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving our approach to data and incentivising supplier performance.

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your strategic mindset and analytical skills to drive business improvements. You will be responsible for analysing business problems, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing data-driven solutions.

As a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will work closely with our digital professionals to develop apps, identify functionality gaps, and assess the impact of software changes. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences will be crucial in driving business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder analysis, management, influencing and communicating change
  • Strategic analysis, internal and external environment analysis, root cause analysis
  • Business process modelling, analysing business needs, modelling system data
  • Evaluating options, defining requirements, gap analysis and improving business processes.
  • Requirements elicitation, workshopping, interviewing, prototyping
  • Delivery of user-centric business solutions with agile working
Person Specification
  • Significant experience in successfully managing, communicating and embedding change
  • Extensive experience in requirements analysis and process definition in a digital, data and technology environment.
  • Experience visualising, modelling and documenting business processes
  • Experience in identifying opportunities for business performance improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to clarify needs and commitments through consultation and consideration of consequences while focusing on user and business needs.
