Refuge Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Refuge Support Worker to join our team at Wycombe Women's Aid Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing emotional and practical support to women and children experiencing domestic violence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support and group work to women in the refuge, recognizing and responding to their emotional and practical needs.
- Work closely with other agencies to advocate on behalf of the women and provide comprehensive support.
- Develop and maintain relationships with women, building trust and rapport to facilitate effective support.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of programs and services to support women and children.
About You:
We are looking for a passionate and committed individual who shares our vision of a world where women and children live free from domestic and sexual violence. You will have a strong understanding of the impact of domestic violence and a commitment to working from a trauma-informed, feminist perspective.
Requirements:
- Experience working with women and children experiencing domestic violence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
