The Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Domestic Violence Support Specialist to join our passionate team. As a Women's Refuge Advocate, you will work closely with women in the refuge, providing emotional and practical support to help them heal from their experiences of domestic violence.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one sessions and group work to support women's emotional and practical needs.
- Work closely with other agencies to advocate on behalf of the women.
- Develop and maintain relationships with women, understanding their unique needs and circumstances.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with a passion for working within the domestic violence sector and a commitment to working from a trauma-informed, feminist perspective. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with women from diverse backgrounds.
