About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join our team as an Environmental Compliance Lawyer for Data Centers. You will be responsible for supporting Amazon Web Services (AWS) in its London office, focusing on environmental compliance of AWS's facilities and operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Counseling Amazon's data center business on environmental, regulatory, procurement, sustainability, and compliance matters
  • Providing day-to-day advice on compliance issues
  • Monitoring upcoming environmental regulatory changes and advising the business on advocacy strategies

You will work closely with our data center teams to ensure operational compliance and handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries. This role requires a high degree of independence, initiative, decisiveness, and strategic thinking, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The estimated salary for this position is £100,000 - £130,000 per annum, depending on experience.
