Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ABA Therapy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with challenging students and be passionate about delivering high-quality support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group teaching to pupils in the class based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behaviour Analysis, under the supervision of the Class Teacher.
  • Support pupils in group lessons using strategies aligned with behaviour plans and targets.
  • Manage challenging behaviour positively and consistently in line with behaviour plans, recording all incidents per school policies.
  • Supervise and support pupils to ensure their safety at all times.
  • Address personal, health, and hygiene matters while keeping records and writing reports when necessary, in liaison with the Class Teacher.
  • Dispense medicine occasionally, ensuring the VB Group Lead/Class Teacher is informed.
  • Report concerns and adhere to school policies regarding child protection, safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality, and data protection.
  • Undertake data collection to aid with assessment and planning as directed by the Class Teacher and VB Tutor.
  • Assist with displaying pupils' work under the Class Teacher's direction.
