About the Role

We are seeking a Transport Liaison Officer to join our School Transport team based across the county. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe transport of vulnerable adults and school children with special needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to and from schools and other venues, in minibuses, cars and taxis, to escort students and ensure their safe arrival.
  • Provide a safe, secure and happy environment for passengers while in transit between destinations.
  • Work collaboratively with drivers and other passenger assistants to ensure the smooth running of journeys.
  • Ensure all equipment, such as wheelchairs, is carefully stowed and secured when in transit.
  • Convey messages between schools and parents about students' health and wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Basic knowledge of first aid and health and safety procedures.
