Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Midwife to join our Antenatal and Newborn Screening Team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate midwife to support the Antenatal Screening Coordinators with overseeing and maintaining the Antenatal and Newborn Screening programmes. The role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team internally and externally to ensure women receive high quality care that meets NHSE Screening standards.

The ideal candidate will have current and full NMC registration as a midwife, a valid NMC PIN (not PRN), and a minimum of 2 years' experience as a band 6 midwife. They will be able to develop their knowledge and experience in the Antenatal and Newborn screening pathways and build relationships with different departments such as Fetal medicine, Fetal cardiology, Paediatrics, Sexual Health, Hepatology, and Laboratory leads.

The successful candidate will work across two main hospital sites and four additional peripheral sites, providing care to women and families in a large geographical area. They will be part of a small and friendly team with a passion for providing evidence-based care.

Requirements
  • Registered Midwife - eligible to practice (degree)
  • Minimum 2 years qualified with 2 years' experience at band 6

Salary: £40,496 - £55,389 per annum.
