About the role
ERM is seeking an experienced Principal Planning Consultant to lead our market-leading planning team on a hybrid basis. You will work on innovative projects in the decarbonisation, renewable energy, and mining sectors, where ERM is working with clients to lead the low-carbon energy transition.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Planning team through a variety of planning projects and deliverables to help clients efficiently meet their objectives in a safe, environmentally and socially sustainable manner.
- Work within a range of planning regimes, including NSIP/DCO, TCPA, s36 (Scotland), and DNS (Wales), to prepare planning reports and EIAs.
- Lead on business development with existing and new clients and take an active role in the development of more junior team members.
Requirements
You will have a relevant Town Planning degree qualification, experience working in a similar role, and a track record of working on DCOs. You will be detail-conscious and interested in the preparation of planning reports, and a Licentiate/RTPI (or equivalent) qualified Planner. Scottish planning and consenting experience is essential.
