Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Installation Engineer to join our team. As an Installation Engineer, you will play a key part in our customer-facing team, visiting various customer premises to install and maintain our equipment. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, managing on-site queries, and ensuring the safe and efficient installation of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain our reputation by demonstrating excellent customer service practices and acting responsively to customer needs.
- Manage on-site customer queries in a fair and courteous manner.
- Clean equipment and the immediate vicinity of the machine after completion of site work, leaving the site well-presented.
- Handle challenging situations with customers in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Be responsive and cooperative, achieving the required tasks set.
Health and Safety
You will be responsible for carrying out all activities with proper regard for personal safety and the safety of colleagues and customers, ensuring adherence to H&S regulations and procedures at all times. You will also report identified risks in line with H&S procedures and attend H&S training and briefings on a regular basis.
Requirements
- Skilled in installing laundry and catering equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical and plumbing work.
- Proficient level of computer skills.
- Good knowledge of the English language, both written and verbal.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience of managing challenging situations in a customer-facing role.
- Experience of identifying selling opportunities to generate sales leads.
Personal Qualities
- Aptitude for practical work.
- Good attention to detail.
- Talent for solving problems.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Resourceful, with the ability to work independently.
- Good time management skills.
- Flexibility in support of the customer and business needs.
Essential Qualifications
- Full driving license.
- Recognised qualification in a Gas Safe environment.
- Recognised qualification in Electrical installation.
