About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Central Norwich. As a key member of our team, you will work with children, young people, and their families to provide consultation, training, mental health assessments, and short-term therapeutic interventions.

Our CAMHS teams are committed to delivering needs-led, outcome-informed, and accessible services for young people in Norfolk and Waveney. We are looking for an experienced practitioner who can provide assessment and goal-focused, evidence-based interventions to young people experiencing difficulties with their mental health.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health assessments and be part of the Duty Clinician rota for urgent response
  • Work with a Multi-disciplinary team comprising Psychology, Occupational Health, Social Work, and Mental Health Nursing
  • Collaborate with colleagues from health, education, social care, and the voluntary sector
Requirements
  • Nursing degree or equivalent, Dip OT, Clinical Psychology, or equivalent
  • Mentorship qualification or ENB 998, with willingness to train as a Sign-off Mentor
  • Good to great management course or equivalent
