Job Summary:
NCC Group is seeking a highly skilled Group Management Accountant to join our Group Finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for preparing the consolidated financial results of the business, while also supporting other areas of Group Finance and the wider business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as key point of contact for delivery of information to external auditors and internal audit team
- Assist with preparing information for population in RNS and Annual Report and Accounts
- Prepare UK subsidiary statutory accounts for 17 entities
- Assist with preparation of audit papers for year end and interim audits
- Own accounting for share based payments under IFRS 2
- Adhoc project work supporting technical accounting matters
- Develop process for allocation of management recharges
Month End Reporting:
- Prepare Group Consolidation and maintain consolidation journals
- Develop Group consolidation checklist to ensure accuracy of reporting and improve efficiency of consolidation process
- Implement checklist and investigate and clear any matters identified
- Assist in development of process for more accurate month end process to reconcile inter-group balances, including introduction of inter-Group invoicing
- Implement and govern above process
- Assist Group Assistant Management Accountant and Group Finance Manager as required with other month end tasks and ensure Group monthly reporting pack is sent out in accordance with agreed timetable
Systems / IT skills:
- Adept at continuous improvement to slicken existing processes and get best out of Workday ERP system
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office products, with strong Excel skills
Reporting:
- Develop Workday based group consolidation
- Continued leverage of Workday systems to provide efficient and accurate Management Information
- Provide financial support to senior stakeholders with adhoc analysis to support decision making
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant with excellent technical accounting skills
- Comfortable working in large company environment, working to tight deadlines and responding to needs of business on timely basis
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities
- High demand for accuracy within business, with eye for detail and getting things right first time
