Job Title: Senior Fund Accountant

Join Octopus Real Estate as a Senior Fund Accountant and take on a challenging role that requires strong technical skills, adaptability, and excellent stakeholder relationships.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term contract role of 15 months, ideally starting in December 2024. As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for managing finance and reporting for three institutional real estate funds, building a thorough knowledge of the funds assigned to you and becoming a key point of contact for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of assigned funds and a strong working knowledge of their portfolios and fund structures.
  • Maintain good working relationships with investment teams, fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and other teams both within Octopus and externally.
  • Liaise with and manage the relationship with administrators and external joint venture finance teams to maintain accurate books and records for the funds at all times.
  • Own the complete regulatory reporting cycle for assigned funds, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality statutory reports.
Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
  • Institutional fund accounting experience with exposure to financial services and/or real estate essential.
  • Proven track record of delivering results.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build relationships within the team and across departments.
