We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bar Assistant Manager to join our team at the DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for supporting the Bar General Manager in the running of the hotel's bars.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Bar Manager in directing and guiding the team during shifts, ensuring excellent customer service and high standards of quality.
- Oversee labour costs, ensuring they are controlled and assist in producing staff rotas in line with payroll budget.
- Ensure stock and wastage is controlled and levels are maintained, supporting with the monthly stocktake.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the shift and department in the Bar Manager's absence, maintaining a positive relationship with all internal teams.
- Review and manage guest feedback, including all branded platforms and social media feedback, ensuring appropriate action and responses are taken.
- Responsible for promoting a positive culture driven by the team, maintaining a high level of customer care in accordance with hotel and brand standards.
- Accountable for financial takings of the department, ensuring the team are compliant and up to date with all cash handling procedures.
- Handling any escalated customer complaints or queries in a swift and professional manner.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality operations, including bar management and customer service.
- Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
