Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost management, procurement, and contract negotiation, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cost estimation and budgeting strategies for construction projects.
  • Conduct financial analysis and reporting to ensure project financial efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure best value for the company.
  • Monitor and manage project cash flows and budgets to ensure timely completion and profitability.
  • Identify and assess commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize financial exposure.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant construction regulations and legislation to protect the company's interests.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project targets are met and exceeded.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is preferred.
  • Full UK driving license.
