Job Summary:

We are seeking a Safety Compliance Officer to join our team in Newcastle upon Tyne. As our Safety Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all branches in your area are managing and maintaining our Group Fire Safety Management system within legal requirements.

The successful candidate will have experience in enforcement and hold Fire Safety Levels 3 and 4 (Auditors/Enforcers) certification. They will also possess strong communication and influencing skills, good IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, and excellent time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with employees at all levels to advise and assist with Fire Safety standards
  • Conducting fire risk assessments
  • Liaising with building control and enforcing authorities
  • Attending pre-start meetings (new-builds or refurbs)
  • Reviewing plans and fire strategy drawings
