Job Summary:

FBR Construction Recruitment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team. As a commercial QS, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects, ensuring accurate cost reporting, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage 3-4 projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate cost reporting
  • Collaborate with the surveying team to review labour schedules and compare progress on site
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, client representatives, and subcontractors
  • Review and compare construction drawings to tender drawings, noting any changes
  • Compile sub-subcontract orders, including enquiry and pricing documentation
  • Identify risks and make recommendations to overcome them
  • Ensure contractual matters are addressed to protect the company's position

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management to degree level or equivalent
  • Full driving license required
  • CSCS card ideal but not necessary
  • Strong knowledge of construction principles
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized
  • Ability to work well in a team
