About Futures

Our client, a renowned FMCG manufacturer, is seeking an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join their maintenance team. Located in an environment of continuous improvement, you will collaborate with production team members to ensure efficient machinery operation and improve processes to increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through fault diagnosis and 8D/CAPA/Root Cause investigations. This opportunity offers a competitive base salary alongside a comprehensive benefits package for a highly successful and expanding employer. The role features a 4-on 4-off schedule with 2 day and 2 night 12 hour shifts.Maintenance Engineer Role & Responsibilities

  1. Ensure the day-to-day breakdown and planned maintenance is carried out in accordance with the plan.
  2. Work closely with production/manufacturing engineering to enhance quality of current processes and resolve any process issues in a timely and effective manner while adhering to the PM regime.
  3. To be conversant with OEE and collaborate with the production team to address top losses of asset downtime and improve machine capability.
  4. Engineering Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA), work with other teams and departments to facilitate and introduce FMEAs.
Maintenance Engineer Skills & Abilities
  1. Time served multiskilled maintenance engineer with experience of automated production lines for an FMCG manufacturer.
  2. ONC/HNC/City & Guilds or similar electrical qualification alongside 17th Edition.
  3. Fault finding and repair of PLC controlled systems (AC/DC drives, motor controls, 24VDC/415/240v, control and electrical systems).
  4. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (5S, Kanban, Kaizen, Six Sigma).

The estimated salary for this position is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
