We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Psychologist to join our Forensic Psychiatry Service and Adult Clinical Psychology Service within the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the provision of a psychological service to our two male forensic inpatient wards, working alongside Registrant Psychologists to develop formulations and treatment plans to address the presenting difficulties of clients.
Key duties will include conducting psychological assessments, relaying these to clinical teams, and supporting the development of rehabilitation plans that build on previous psychological work.
The post-holder will also have the opportunity to support the offer of reflective practice and formulation groups with the aim of developing skills within the workforce.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a candidate with a strong academic background in psychology, preferably with a postgraduate qualification.
Previous experience of working in forensic mental health settings is desirable, as is the ability to reflect on lived experience of distress or difficulties.
