Culinary Arts Educator Wanted

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our team at a secondary school in Northumberland.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that ignite students' passion for food technology and promote their personal growth.

  • Design and teach engaging lessons that cater to various student abilities.
  • Improve students' understanding of food safety, nutrition, and cooking techniques.
  • Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Evaluate and document student progress regularly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a comprehensive education.
Key Requirements
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in the UK.
  • Have experience teaching Food Technology, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Demonstrate effective classroom management skills and the ability to engage students.
  • Stay up-to-date on the UK curriculum in Food Technology.
  • Be passionate about teaching and motivating young learners.

Salary: around £32,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
