Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team at Dunelm in Newport. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and supporting the sales team to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Support the sales team in achieving sales targets, maintaining a high level of product knowledge and promoting products to customers.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and organized store environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Previous retail or sales experience is desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the business.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and contributing to a positive store environment.
