We are looking for a highly skilled Retail Performance Data Analyst to join our FP&A team in London.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a hybrid working schedule and a competitive salary of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain store/retail counter P&L reports by store, region, store type, comp/new doors, using advanced data analysis techniques.
  • Develop P&L scenario analysis for new freestanding store opportunities to evaluate gross profit and NOP, taking into account market trends and competitor activity.
  • Collaborate with OPEX team to ensure operating expenses are reported accurately, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Review financial results/P&L with Director and Regional Heads, retail, on a quarterly basis (TY/LY/PL/LE), identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions.
  • Analyze business performance by identifying trends, evaluating metrics/KPIs, etc. to provide insights to the FSS Retail team, supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare budget Store/Counter P&L's by store, region, store type, comp/new doors, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Plan FTE counts and personnel costs by role type, region, phased by month/quarter, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Validate forecasts and resolve any issues by working closely with the FSS/Retail Counters team, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Variance analysis of forecasts to actuals / budget, identifying areas for improvement and proposing corrective actions.
  • OPEX reconciliation to ensure spend is accurately coded (cost center, GL), maintaining high levels of data integrity.

About You

  • 3+ years of experience working as a Financial Analyst within an FP&A environment, preferably in a DTC environment.
  • Strong experience with start-to-finish accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Relevant education in Finance & Accounting (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) or another relevant field OR equivalent work experience is an asset.
  • Highly collaborative and able to work with cross-functional teams in a global environment.
