We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Statistician to join our team at Howden. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in guiding our approach to data-driven strategies and delivering insightful risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data collection methods to inform our risk management strategies
  • Conduct stochastic modeling and analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain advanced mathematical and statistical models to support our business decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data insights into our business operations
  • Communicate complex statistical concepts to stakeholders at all levels of seniority
Requirements
  • At least a 2:1 degree in statistics, applied mathematics, or a related field
  • Demonstrable experience in a professional setting, either public or private sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient programming skills, including Python
  • Experience working with large geographic and time series data
  • Knowledge of open-source statistical packages and languages
