King Edward VII Academy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to take on the role of Head of Modern Foreign Languages and Curriculum Development. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for leading the department and developing innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the department in developing and implementing a high-quality curriculum that meets the needs of students.
- Develop and maintain a culture of excellence within the department, promoting a love of learning and a commitment to academic achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and manage budgets to support the department's goals and objectives.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure the department has the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality education.
Requirements:
- First Degree or Equivalent in a relevant subject area.
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Proven experience as a senior leader in a secondary school setting.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
