About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at an inspirational Primary School in Morpeth. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of pupils with varying Special Educational Needs (SEN) and challenging behavior.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with SEN and challenging behavior on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Deliver intervention sessions to small groups to boost understanding and progress
  • Develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of pupils within the classroom, working closely with Class Teachers and colleagues
  • Support across the School at breaktimes and lunchtimes as required

The School is an outstanding Primary School in Morpeth, offering a supportive culture and Leadership Team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with pupils across the School from EYFS-Year 6.

  • Competitive pay rate of £80-90 per day

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (desired)
  • Experience of working with children in Schools in the UK
  • An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff
  • A resilient, proactive, and positive nature
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Two professional child-related references that cover the last two years
