About the Role:

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support the learning of pupils in a Primary School in Morpeth. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress, and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Deliver intervention sessions to small groups of pupils to boost their understanding and progress.
  • Develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of different pupils within the classroom, working closely alongside Class Teachers and colleagues to establish this.
  • Support across the School at breaktimes and lunchtimes as required.
About the School:

The role is based in an inspirational Primary School in Morpeth, with opportunities to support the pupils across the School from EYFS-Year 6. The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils.

Requirements:
  • QTS, Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or Level 3 Childcare-based Qualification.
  • Experience of working with Children in Schools in the UK.
  • An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff.
  • A resilient, proactive, and positive nature.
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years.
