Contentious Probate Solicitor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Contentious Probate Solicitor to join our dynamic and highly regarded Legal 500 regional law firm based in the heart of Sussex.

As a Contentious Probate Solicitor, you will be responsible for handling a varied caseload of contentious probate matters, including will disputes, inheritance claims, and trust disputes. You will advise trustees/executors, private banks, individuals, and charities on trust and will/estate disputes.

The role offers genuine career development within the Litigation team and the wider firm. Business development and building client and referrer relationships are key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handling a varied caseload of contentious probate matters
  • Advising trustees/executors, private banks, individuals, and charities on trust and will/estate disputes
  • Business development and building client and referrer relationships
  • Providing leadership and guidance to junior solicitors
Requirements:
  • Qualified solicitor with extensive experience in Contentious Trusts and Probate
  • STEP or ACTAPS qualification is an advantage
  • Professional, client-focused approach
  • Good time management and IT skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
