Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Contentious Probate Solicitor to join our dynamic and highly regarded Legal 500 regional law firm based in the heart of Sussex. As a key member of our dispute resolution team, you will be responsible for handling a varied caseload of contentious probate matters, including will disputes, inheritance claims, and trust disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise trustees/executors, private banks, individuals, and charities on trust and will/estate disputes.
  • Handle a varied caseload of contentious probate matters, including will disputes, inheritance claims, and trust disputes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior solicitors and contribute to the continued growth and success of the firm.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to resolve complex probate disputes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referrers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor with extensive experience in Contentious Trusts and Probate.
  • STEP or ACTAPS qualification is an advantage.
  • Professional, client-focused approach.
  • Good time management and IT skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Team player, self-motivated, flexible, and resilient.
