Job Description: Chief Technology Officer - Food Delivery Innovation

This strategic role involves leading and overseeing the engineering team to develop, enhance, and maintain their cutting-edge food delivery platform. As a hands-on leader, you will ensure seamless operation, effective scaling, and evolution of innovative tag and scan technology, real-time tracking, and tamper-proof packaging systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Leadership: Foster a collaborative environment, mentor, and grow the engineering team.
  • System Architecture: Oversee the design and development of scalable and secure systems for optimal growth.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with product management to deliver solutions leveraging our tag and scan technology.
  • Technology Stack: Manage and evolve the technology stack in line with business objectives and industry trends.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring tools to ensure efficient platform operation with minimal downtime.
  • Security: Ensure all systems meet the highest standards of data protection and privacy.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve development processes and deployment pipelines for high-quality products on time.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with operations, product, and customer success departments for effective engineering support.
  • Budget & Resources: Manage the engineering budget efficiently while balancing quality and innovation.

Salary Estimate: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on location and experience.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in scalable cloud-based architectures, backend systems, real-time tracking technologies, and data security best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience managing engineering teams and mentoring technical staff.
  • Commercial knowledge of the food delivery industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
