Production Operative Role Overview

KP Snacks is a leading manufacturer of savoury snacks, and we are currently seeking a Production Operative to join our team at our Ashby site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Competently operate various machines, including packing and poppers, to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Efficiently carry out assigned operations or tasks, meeting all output targets and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Operate flavour units across designated areas, following procedures for filling and recording, and contributing to improved line performance and efficiencies.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping, health & safety, and hygiene standards, resolving running problems and issues as needed.
  • Carry out testing procedures for products as required and ensure all stages of work are checked against quality standards.
  • Clean units after changeovers or shutdowns and fully engage with IWS ways of working principles.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or the food industry (highly desirable).
  • Level 2 in Food Safety for Manufacturing (desirable, with bespoke training provided).
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • The ability to take ownership and accountability, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential, as well as the ability to work independently and within a team.

Working Hours

The working hours are 3 shift rotation Monday to Friday (6am-2pm/2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am) on a weekly rotation.
