Mechanical Design Engineer

Sustainable Infrastructure is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and develop your skills in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage small engineering teams and lead projects from concept to completion.
- Develop and implement test protocols to ensure product quality and safety.
- Collaborate with technicians to design and assemble prototypes.
- Work alongside experienced engineers to develop and implement engineering solutions.
- Contribute to the development of engineering first principles and thermodynamics.
- 2:1 Mechanical Engineering Degree.
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of SolidWorks and SolidWorks CAM package for CNC or Fusion 360 CAM for CNC.
- Experience in project management, product certification, and production engineering.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Hydrogen industry experience.
- ATEX/COMAH/DSEAR site operations.
- Turbine engineering.
- Steam system design.
- CFD/FEA.
- High pressure gas systems.
