About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team at Octopus Energy. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organisation's systems and data.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, including experience with threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and incident response. They will be responsible for identifying and mitigating security threats, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and implementing secure solutions to protect our customers' data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and respond to security incidents.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure security best practices are followed.
  • Implement and maintain secure systems and applications.
  • Provide training and guidance on security awareness and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, data privacy, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and regulations (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary: The salary for this role is estimated to be around £65,000-£90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
