Exciting Opportunity: RE Teacher in Luton

Are you passionate about fostering understanding and respect for diverse beliefs and cultures? We're seeking an experienced RE Teacher to join our vibrant school community in Luton. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to inspire students to think critically about the world around them.

About the Role

As an RE Teacher, you'll be responsible for developing and delivering engaging lessons that encourage students to explore and reflect on their own beliefs and those of others. You'll create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable discussing sensitive topics. Your expertise will help students develop critical thinking and respectful dialogue skills, fostering empathy and understanding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver RE lessons that promote critical thinking and cultural awareness.
  • Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages open discussion and respect for diverse perspectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the RE curriculum and provide enriching learning experiences.
  • Support students in developing their own beliefs and values, while promoting respect for different cultures and faiths.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree: Religious Education or related field.
  • Certification: PGCE or QTS.
  • Experience: Teaching RE at KS3/4 levels.
