Robert Walters UK is seeking a highly skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our team. As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in protecting the assets and reputation of our client, a leading diversified specialty insurance and reinsurance company with a global presence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Participate in the annual Internal Audit planning process to identify key risks and develop audit strategies.
  2. Support Audit Management to develop and maintain the IA methodology and policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Perform audit engagements, including scoping, planning, and execution of assigned audits, to ensure the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
  4. Interpret audit results and produce draft audit reports for review by Audit Management, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  5. Maintain up-to-date technical and subject knowledge of the insurance industry, staying current with regulatory changes and industry developments.
  6. Act with integrity, due skill, care, and diligence while maintaining clear independence from management, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
Requirements
  1. Audit, Accounting, or other professional qualification (CMIIA, CCAB, or CII)
  2. At least three years progressively responsible professional-level auditing experience (internal or external)
  3. Experience working within local financial services or Insurance/Reinsurance industry
  4. Good experience working on control frameworks, such as Sarbanes-Oxley framework / COSO
  5. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
  6. Ability to manage conflicting priorities to achieve deadlines
